At Byram's Chapel, we recognize the calling that the Lord has given us to "Go Out." We place a special focus on our outreach ministry and have many different opportunities available for you to get involved with spreading The Word to our community and world. Contact information for the leader of each ministry is listed.

Raise the Praise Festival
The event is held each year at Richland Park in Portland, TN. The Mayor, City Officials, Park Management and Portland's Chamber of Commerce have graciously embraced the outreach events and have been a wonderful inspiration in making sure we have what is needed to accomplish the mission. RTP has continued to grow into a 2 day experience with a genre of music and ministry that not only appeals to the youth, but to the adults as well.

Vacation Bible School
For one week in the summer, the church and grounds are transformed into a far away land where children learn about Jesus while playing games, creating crafts, singing, watching dramatic productions, and listening to teaching. Children encounter costumed characters from different places and times who share culture, talents, and just plain fun.

Back to School Bash
The Back to School Bash is a program that we join together with the Portland Chamber of Commerce. This program provides backpacks filled with all the necessary supplies to start the school year. These backpacks are available to all local students. It is our desire that the students and their families might realize that Christ desires to meet all their needs: physical, mental, and spiritual.

County Jails and State Prisons Outreach
Prisons and jails in the area receive the gospel message taken by ministry teams from Byram's Chapel. In addition to regular services, ministers from Byram's Chapel also help teach classes in local jails. We also partner with Comfort Ministries, volunteer chaplains from Scottsville, KY, to minister in state prisons in regular services, revivals, and inmate attendance celebrations.

Men's Rescue Mission
Following God's command to love our neighbor as ourselves, the Nashville Rescue Mission seeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing, and shelter to the homeless and recovery programs to those enslaved in life's degrading problems. Their goal is to help people know the saving grace of Jesus, and through Him, gain wisdom for living, find fulfillment in life, and become a positive part of their community. As volunteers in this effort, we provide prayer, music, and preaching on a regular basis to the Men's facility.
